Hercules Education Foundation 2026 Report for Non Profit
Status with City of Hercules:
Hi! My name is Sarah Creeley and I’m the President of the Hercules Education Foundation or HEF. I would like to begin by saying I genuinely appreciate all of the people who are here tonight for everything you do to help our Hercules community!
I am happy to have this opportunity to tell you about the Hercules Education Foundation and our many accomplishments during this past year. The Hercules Education Foundation funds Teacher Grants and Donors Choose Projects for teachers in Hercules public schools benefitting Hercules public school children. During this last school year HEF funded teachers at every one of the 5 Hercules public schools; Hercules Middle School, Hercules High School, Hanna Ranch Elementary School, Lupine Hills Elementary School, and Ohlone Elementary
School.
In the 2025/26 school year, the Hercules Education Foundation funded 28 Teacher Grants and 17 Donors Choose Projects giving $18,400. to help children in Hercules public schools! You can go to our website at HerculesEducationFoundation.org and see a complete list of all of these funded projects, and you can read Teacher Testimonials about how HEF grants helped students in Hercules. A few of the things the Hercules Education Foundation funded are interactive books for students with special needs at Ohlone Elementary School, TK curriculum at Hanna Ranch Elementary, art and writing materials at Lupine Hills, Resource materials for Hercules Middle School students, and performance
clothes for a dance competition by Hercules High School dancers in which they were awarded 1st place!
This school year, we have raised our HEF Teacher Grant amount from $400 to $500 per Teacher Grant. So far in this new school year, HEF has funded 19 HEF Teacher Grants for $500 each, and a Donors Choose Project for $743 totaling $10,273!
All of the Directors of the Hercules Education Foundation are volunteers who want to help children in Hercules get a great education! We are all dedicated to continuing the work we do, but we need help from sponsors and donors! Please consider becoming a sponsor of our Bay Front Run on Sunday, October 4th and help us to help Hercules school children! If you or your business become a sponsor, for as little as $150, before September 15th, you will be recognized on our Bay Front Run T shirt!
Last year we had over 400 runners, including many children! You can register for this year’s Bay Front Run at our website at HerculesEducationFoundation.org and join us! Have fun as you help Hercules children get a better education! Our other big fundraiser was Bottles and Bites where 300 people came together to enjoy delicious food and drinks for a great cause with other community members at the Hercules Community Center. I encourage everyone to join us at this fun annual event when it comes in March next year! It’s a lot of fun, with good food and live music! We have a Silent Auction and I respectfully ask you to
help us by donating an item for it, or asking friends to help if they have something they can contribute. You can donate to HEF at our website at HerculesEducationFoundation.org While you are there you can learn more about us, read Teacher Testimonials, and see pictures showing the positive impact HEF has had on our Hercules community.
Community is important to the Hercules Education Foundation and we have participated in the Hercules Trunk or Treat, Tree Lighting, the first Chinese Lunar Parade, Community Clean Up Day, and most recently, National Night Out. The Hercules Education Foundation is dedicated to our Beloved Community and can be counted on to always show up, rain or shine, and work at these meaningful events. Thank You for listening! Please consider supporting HEF and the work we do to improve the education of Hercules children! Thank you for your consideration!
In Community,
Sarah Creeley
Hercules Education Foundation President
