Dear Hercules Education Foundation,
Thank you for the generous donations to my classroom. In my classroom, my students do a lot of independent reading. I am always looking for new books for the classroom. If a student shows interest in a certain genre or series, I try and buy those books to add to my classroom library. It is always especially wonderful when I can get books donated to my classroom library.
I try and make my classroom a place where students are comfortable. They are able to come to the carpet and use bean bag chairs or flexible seating during reading and writing time. Students pick their favorite books and get comfortable with their books. These books that have been provided by this Donors Choose project have been a great hit. My students have a new variety of books to choose from for independent reading time.
Some of my students are reluctant readers, so it is a challenge to find books that will grab their attention. This Donors Choose project had a wide variety of books of different genres and reading levels. This allows my students to find books to read that will keep them reading and wanting to read more. As a teacher, it makes me happy to see my students enjoy reading a great book.
